The New Green Eggs & Ham

I do not like this Uncle Sam,
I do not like his health care scam.
I do not like these dirty crooks,
or how they lie and cook the books.
I do not like when Congress steals,
I do not like their secret deals.
I do not like this speaker, Nan,
I do not like this 'YES WE CAN.'
I do not like this spending spree,
I'm smart, I know that nothing's free.
I do not like your smug replies,
when I complain about your lies.
I do not like this kind of hope.
I do not like it, nope, nope, nope!

Secrets for Success & Happiness

I just started reading Og Mandino's book, Secrets for Success & Happiness, I'm really enjoying it so far. There's a great quote in it from Henry David Thoreau, and here it is.

Pursue, keep up with, circle round and round your life, as a dog does his master's chaise. Do what you love. Know your own bone, gnaw at it, bury it, unearth it, and gnaw it still.
However mean your life is, meet it and live it; do not shun it and call it hard names. It is not so bad, as you are. It looks poorest when you are richest. The fault-finder will find faults even in paradise. Love your life, poor as it is. Humility, like darkness, reveals the heavenly lights. Superfluous wealth can only buy superfluities. Money is not required to buy any necessary of the soul.

Prelude To The Ultimate

A good friend recently authored an incredible book titled "Prelude To The Ultimate." I found it to be one of the most fascinating books I've read in a long time. It is part action/adventure, romance, spiritual, and comedy all rolled into one. Click on the link to see for yourself.
